April Highlight Reel & Indiscernible Genders

My child has consumed 3 pieces of dog food, a helping of kitchen tile, and a tag from Target in the past week. In case you were wondering. Also in the past week, we got to meet our nephew via Skype! Oh, the wonders of the interwebs. Is he not just the most perfect thing ever?! Lincoln Shutt, everyone! (You can follow Taylor’s amazing sister & brother-in-law’s missions in Chile on their blog.) Photo courtesy of Reid & Meriden and or Dale & Cherie Photography©. Not really sure which. Superhero 5k

Guys. Any minute now I could have a nephew. How fun is that?! Also, I might change pediatricians because ours is very scantily clad. I have seen her bra literally every time we’ve gone. She’s a great doctor, but I don’t want my 7 year old son to get “sick” every week so he can get a view of her lady parts. I mean, really. It’s quite unprofessional. I buy an econo-size bag of frozen wontons. I don’t even know how to eat wontons or what to put them in or with, but good gracious that old lady was convincing. Throwback Thursday (Part 3) Guys. I really thought I was being creative with the name “Throwback Thursday”. As it turns out, it’s already being used by those pesky instagrammers (of which I’m one – find me @sarahbrooks13) to showcase vintage pictures. Booooooringggggg. I prefer showcases awkward encounters instead. Part 3 stories include: the hired…

Traumatic Travel, Shopping Carts, & Time in Pokey

Whew. This past week or two was a doozy. A fun doozy, but a doozy nonetheless. We had 2 flights, 1 road trip, 1 wedding, 1 baby shower, 1 case of croup, and 1 ear infection. We’ll start with the slightly traumatic travel experience. Slightly Traumatic Travel Experience A few proclamations:  Proclamation #1: If you are the kind of person who takes up extra seats for your bags in the airport terminal leaving other travelers the option of sitting on the floor or standing, I’m sorry you’re such a lonely person. Surely that kind of behavior isn’t conducive for a happy life filled with friends and loved ones. Proclamation #2: Don’t be mean…
